Act One: Leipzig-Luxembourg-Athus |
| |
The cool guys are on the road again. We started at one o'clock in the night. At the next morning, the special-tour-guest-guitar-player Marv was driving the car. |
| Our real driver guy Captain Hando then took over the wheel again heading Athus (Belgium). I was the map manager and guided the drivers into Western Europe. |
The other guys were sleeping. Lazy buns. Seems they all trusted in Captain Handos driving style, which was at first a bit new to us, but he got used to handle the van. |
| One of the many pee breaks we had to do. Especially Marv needed a break every hour. This picture looks as if Captain Hando is smashing his own balls. |
The first station to visit was Luxembourg Centre-Ville. For me it was the third time to be here, so I felt a bit innerly allied with this nice city, its streets, places and cafés. |
| Of course we had to visit the casemats which are sourrounding the inner city. And of course some Japanese camera tourists were around. |
Handos favourite shoes. We found a pair of them for 10 Euros in a near shoe store, but these ones are original what-ever-brand at a much higher price. |
| To snuff some air of culture and history we decided to visit a church. Personally I think its not good to take pictures in a church. Hmm... |
A belgique company gave us a questionnaire to fill out. It was about sexual mobbing in work situations. |
| The weather was not the best, cloudy, windy and rainy alltogether. When we came here last, it was much hotter and we slept on the grass at a hill not far from this statue... |
We arrived in Athus, Belgium, at about two o'clock pm. After eating some baguettes we found the bar "le Marignan" we were to play in. From outside, it looked kinda left and lone. |
| Because it was not yet open, we took a nice, slow walk to the town's train station, were we rested some time to watch the passengers and cars. No train was coming. |
Finally, the bar opened and we could get closer and take a look at it. The inner concert room was nicely decorated with old Roman stone thingys. |
| The bar girl (which was actually more a bar woman) gently spent some tea and coffee for the FARMER'S BOULEVARD crew, that was hungry and tired. |
Afterwards we set up the equipment that fit very well into the roman style stage. The acoustics of the stone room were horrible!!! Well, we had to work with the material we got. |
| Two french bands, FTX and STRONG AS TEN, were playing with us. We played second. All three bands, as we concluded afterwards, were performing well. |
The audience in Athus was lively and not afraid to get in touch with us. There were funny moments, e.g. when one crazy guy strummed on my guitar between two songs. |
| We were giving a hard new school part, and surprised the listeners. The old school part of the show then was more familiar to them. Good vibes were flowing and we felt integrated in the playing. |
After the show we enjoyed the local hero party of FTX. They had many cover songs which attracted the whole audience. Nice action was taking place (floor rumble, circle pit, stage diving and so on). |
| |
Act Two: Athus-Metz-Auxon |
| |
| We spent the night in Metz, France, but had no chance to visit Metz. But this was not a problem, because we had already seen it a year before. |
We went to a outer part of Metz to pick up the rest of the FTX crew. While we were waiting, we took many funny photos as these next pictures also show. |
| This picture was taken screaming. Tough guy hardcore is not our style, so it is not to be taken serious. |
Seppl collects photos as this one, taken from different flags all over the world. |
| As Marv demonstrates here, there was no free minute concerning the packed bags in the van. Always someone was missing something so we had to stop and check the bags or get some out of it. |
Captain Hando had to wear an original former East German bus driver hat. That was his plight. We got attraction many times with it. |
| Inside the van, silence was rare. There were always some Schmecks (the new name for beer) going round and we laughed many times. Loud music was the rule. Alder... |
Marv wanted to eat a pizza, so we were searching for a pizza store. We found one called "Mario's", but they had no pizza this day, just Panini. We decided to go on. |
| Arrived in Auxon, I had to take this picture as a comparison between this year and last year. The sheeps were missing, but the blossoms were astonishing. |
| |
Act Three: Auxon-Auxerre-Nevers |
| |
The next day (sorry no pictures of the concert!) we visited Auxerre, what may have been an old Templer city of the 12th century. |
| The buildings were nice, the streets were small and typical Southern style. That's romantic!!! |
Kissing a young girl waiting to get married was one of the best actions that the FARMER'S BOULEVARD crew was faced with. But only me and Seppl were actually performing. The others were too shy... :-) |
| The air was full of crazy vibrations. Look at this extreme hardcore joke posing, that may tell enough of our sexual situation while on tour. |
When we arrived in Nevers, we found that some people around the train station quarter must have had a brain hardware damage, many of them acted quite strange. Well, time for the FB-Team!! Dabdadudah... |
| After we checked the venue, we found a parking lot at a Chinese restaurant and set up the stage stuff. We jammed some bluesy and funky minutes, and the first band was then setting up. |
In the meantime, we enjoyed our stay at Nevers taking pictures and... |
| ...having a Schmeck in the bus. We got Schmecks from Dom of FTX who managed the show. Since the barkeeper didn't want us to drink inside, we rested in the bus. Everybody was looking forward to finally rock this town!!!! |
We were performing quite well, and I think many people liked our music. The athmosphere was hot. After the show, too hot. There was a fighting going on in the street, involving Toto the barkeeper. Much of police was showing up. |
| After the situation cleaned up and everybody cooled down, we brought the equipment to the bus and had a funny after show party in the pub. Here Dom is making jokes (as he did all the time). He's a cool guy and helped us a lot. Thanks, Dom!!! |
Girls from Nevers surrounded the FARMER'S BOULEVARD crew and we had a nice time talking and drinking. |
| Many pictures were taken at this last evening of the tour. It was a great final seasoning. |
Some girls were not getting enough... |
| |
Act Four: Nevers-Autun-Nevers-Leipzig |
| |
| The next morning, we had to get up early because the guy where we slept had to leave at 11 o'clock. Because his flat was very small, there was not enough space for everybody to sleep comfortably. Anyway, thanks to Florian for this opportunity and his endless patience!!! |
Seppl and me decided to pose a love couple photo in front of an amazing artwork (of Florian, as we believe). The sweet dreams of the last night are expressed in our soft look. |
| Marv enjoyed a nice night in the .... bus so it was time to wake him up before leaving. Unfortunately we forgot his bag in the flat. It took us 4 hours more of driving to get back and pick it up. |
After we returned in Nevers for the bag, I was taking over the wheel and this funny double-hat photo was shot at the train station, where Dom handled us the bag. |
| In the next hours, our main driver Captain Hando got sleepy... |
... and was not able to read the map anymore. But fortunately, we knew the road to go because we drove it twice! |
| We arrived at the FB headquarter in Leipzig, Germany at 6 o'clock the next morning, and a final crew picture was the way to go. A great time was coming to its end. All are looking forward to what will come next! |
